I've taken another look at the CD Book; it has some good advice about scanning and the use of Photoshop to manipulate monochrome, but it is only 33 pages long and it was £20. If you are an experienced Photoshop users, about half the pages would be of limited use, and the rest (especially the scannin...

DJ - Why not try Polaroid Type 55? I've not used it myself but understand that the resulting negs are stunning, and at £60 for 20 exp thats got to be good value when not home processing. As for books - Barry Thornton was working on an ebook when he died - Elements of Transition. This has been finish...

Joanna,

Cracking shot; the whole thing has an air of days gone by. I wonder how it would look on an off white art paper in mono?

Hi Gari, 90mm sounds like a Speed Graphic board (I have one for sale - see other thread if that's of any use). The MPP VII is 101mm sq with sharp corners; the MPP VIII is smaller and has rounded corners. The MPP user club will have details, also try S K Grimes - they have a good list of lensboard si...

Thanks Ole,

Got 2 0f those now - one with a Suuper Angulon 90/8, one I made for an Angulon 90/5.6.

There's one on ebay at the moment at £36 so someone must need them. Nice to see old kit still being used.

There's hope for me yet.

Adjustable Lens Spanner

Hi All, A tip - if (like me) anyone was looking for a lens spanner, they are as rare as hens teeth in the UK. S K Grimes in the states sells one at $40, delivered internationally (that's about £21). I ordered one on the 4th October; it arrived today (9th), and is very well made and effective; even h...
