Re: In-camera positives using Ambrotypes and Tintypes

Thanks for your kind words Lucy. Wet plate collodion is a pretty special process. It is one where the photograph is an object in itself. Re: Canham cameras

I had a 5x7 for some time and now have a 10x8. Great cameras - well built and Keith Canham a wealth of advice and information should it be required. Highly recommended. If you have deep pockets I know that Colin Myers is looking to sell his 14x11 :)

Re: Walker cameras

I had a Walker Titan SF for a number of years - great camera. Look on Andrew Sandersons youtube and you'll find a review of the 10x8.

Re: A stupid Question

Kodak had Keith Canham on their stand at one the the photo annual shows in the USA this year. Kodak seem pretty commited to colour and b&w film for the forseeable future. And like Marizu has said - join in the wet plate revival fun otherwise!

Re: Workshops

Another vote for Inversnaid - well worth the money - great tuition! Hi David, I can personally recommend the large format workshop run at Inversnaid in the first week in July: http://www.inversnaidphoto.com/glancef.htm The food, accommodation and tuition are great, and you process the film each day ...

Printing Frames

A friend bought a Retro printing frame for a workshop with Kerik Kouklis held at my place - the frame was useless and I am sure was returned. Tim subsequently got one new off ebay but I use an old Kodak one which is rock solid.
