Re: Film Changing tent advice

Hi
Sorry I am late on this topic.
I own a Harrison and a Calumet changing tent. I find If you are loading 10x8 DDs or trying to load a sheet film Jobo tank, the extra room and quality of the Harrison is worth the extra money.
If loading smaller format DDs and roll films the Calumet is fine.

Hi, I use a manfrotto 075 tripod and have done for more than 20 years. It is a beast but I have used it for all formats up to and including 10 x 8 without any problems.

Nothing wrong with the trekker but it is being used for my 5x4 Shen Hao. Just wanted to see if any 10x8 users had any other suggestions, Before I get another one.

Hi Alan,

Siverprint in Waterloo, just off the Cut supply Ilford chemicals http://www.silverprint.co.uk/ as well as raw materials if needed. They can give advice and have a pro darkoom next door. I use Kodak Tmax dev for large format mono in a Jobo CPA with good results.

The negatives came out OK, the one exposed at E.I.100 ISO/ASA had good midtones and highlights although the shadows were a touch too thin and lacking in detail, the one exposed at half an f/stop extra had excellent shadow details although the highlights and higher midtones were a bit dense. Perhaps...

I have not used the 7X5 Shen-Hao but I do own a 5X4 Shen- Hao and if they are anything like it I would recommend them very highly. They well made with a full range of movements light and well priced, I think the 7X5 are around £1000. Well worth looking and they do a 10x8!!!

Thanks for the info I looked at the Linhof web site and you are right the contact printing frames are extremely expensive. I could not see anything listed on the Retro site so it looks like I will have to buy from the US.
