Re: WTB: 10x8 Velvia 50
Hi Everyone, I know it's probably unlikely, but I'm just wondering whether anyone has any 10x8 Velvia 50 lurking in their fridges/freezers that they'd like to part with. I'd like to try some as part of a project I'm currently engaged with. Not really bothered if it's in date, as long as it's not to...

Re: WTB 5x7 DDS
Hello Charles Thats a really good price for a pair of 5x7's if Robert White have them in stock I'd just be slightly suspicious that its just they haven't removed that entry. So many websites list thousands of items but when you ask it turns out .. "oh they haven't been available for years" I bought...

Re: Shutter Values on lens
Ian You're pretty well spot on with BonW - he's not really the right person for vintage shutters and from my conversations with him, I feel that he would definitely endorse that and not wishing to seem overly smart, (which isn't the point at all) it's Newton Ellis and here's the link http://www.new...

Re: WTB Fuji lenses
The Fuji 240/9 A, or 360/10 AS appear to be unavailable, how about a Fuji 300/8.5 CS, or 450/12.5 CS in mint/near mint condition? Also Sinar panels. Thanks. Dennis. Are these really unavailable? Robert White still list them (as do MPEX in the US who I bought my 240 from). I want a 450 too one of th...

Re: Then and Now pictures - advice needed
Looking at the adverts I found from 1923 (here: http://www.lf-photo.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2689 ) it's curious that while the maker, type, and f-stop of the lenses supplier with the cameras are all specified, there's no mention of focal length. But I don't think there's been much differen...

Re: John Sexton`s B&W Photographs.
I have been looking at some of John Sexton`s work on the Kodak website which also provides some technical details of the Camera, lens and f/stop used and some of the exposure times are fairly long. Even the 75mm and 90mm lenses are stopped down to around f/32. Take a look. http://www.kodak.com/glob...
