I think I would just experiment. Frame the shot, focus to where you think would be best, stop down and check if everything is sharp with your lupe. If not, keep trying different things until it is, or at least as close as possible. I think thats one of the great things about using a GG to focus, you...

Now I put the darkest tone I want to be rendered with detail one stop bellow mid-tone, and work from that, i.e if the sky is 5 stops brighter than that I will apply a 3 s...

Hi John, the new colour is a big improvement :).

Judging by the images on there I think that you've either been very lucky and used up a lot of film or you have actually figured out some techniques already.

If Quentin was to do a workshop in East Anglia, may I suggest some focus on scanning, seeing as he has quite some knowledge in that field? I for one would appreciate the chance to learn some more about this tricky subject. Just an idea of course. Regarding the Peak district, I would probarbly be abl...

Hi John, There are some really nice images on your site, thats a great years work, thanks for sharing. Just one thing, I might change the colour of the text saying "By John Greenwood", I find it a little hard to read against that background. Otherwise I like the presentation. Looking forward to read...

Here's another image, this ones from the beach at Torrin, near where I was staying on Skye. This was taken with either a 75mm or 90mm on my Ebony, probarbly 75mm, with a 2 st...

sounds like it might be worth me getting one, I'm sure my scans at the moment aren't quite in focus.
