Hi, I have used a 270mm Apo Gerogon on 8x10 without a shutter once. My lens cap was the shutter (2 seconds exposure). Good tranny (a bit underexposed - that's my metering fault though) and sharp too. Here is the shot. Cropped to 4x10. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k265/vuichong/Bluebellforest.jp...

Hi Buze, Was the vase sitting on a lightbox? Personally I would prefer a mono background either complete white or black. I find the transition a bit distracting. However, complete white background would work better for your subject. Could you set aperture smaller than f16? The top appears a touch so...

Hi Buze,
Now that you have mentioned the caused of it, the plastic pinhole device that I mounted onto the lens board is glossy black. Thanks for that.

Hi Roger,
I use the 2840 tank with a 2523 extension. You could fit 2 negs at a time. Place the emulsion side up and process as normal. Hope that help.

Hi Mark, I have also recently just got the V700 and really pleased with the scan. I scan my negs at 2400dpi and got some really nice 20x16 prints which are hanging now in a gallery. So far positive comments from people who have seen the prints, so I am well pleased. Would be better if someone actual...

Hi Andrew, Thanks. This was done on 4x5 and full framed. I must say that I seldom carry the 8x10 these days. It's very hard to do any decent post processing scanning or printing here. I would still use it for b&w contact printing though. The exposure was guesstimated and I did get some decent chrome...

Pinhole Photography

Dear All, I asked about pinhole photography a while back in particular to exposure compensation. Here is the result:- http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k265/vuichong/jettypinhole.jpg Thank you to all who had helped. The interesting thing here is how the pinhole had scattered direct sunlight and turn...

Help - Certificate of Authenticity (CoA)

Hello all,
What information should be put on the CoA, apart from the very obvious one? What implication of limiting your print to 50 copies only? Can I still publish the picture on calender/postcard/magazine when the edition runs out?

Thanks

Hi Steve, I know the feeling. I wasted 6 - 7 sheets of 8x10 Fuji Velvia due to bad meter reading on a trip to Malham. Very p....d o....f with myself and the meter for a total wasted trip and films. That was with an incidence meter. Since switching to Minolta Spotmeter F I have more success rate and ...

Sorry to all. I post this in a hurry and did not write up a proper message. This was taken last November just before dusk. The transparency is actually a lot better than I could scan at the moment. There are more clouds detail in the original. I attempted to scan it just now and got a better picture...
