Re: i need 4x5 depth of field quick pointer
I always tilt my Chamonix by 0.2 degrees for perfect focusing, if I go too far - maybe to 0.4 degrees it all goes wrong and I have to resort to normal Scheimpflug focusing. I find that easier as it takes me about 6 hours to get the .2 of a degree of tilt from a wooden camera. Apparently it's much ea...

Re: Advice sought re. best bag and also tripod head
Sounds like an interesting idea David, I'm after a bag for a cut down kit, probably just a Chamonix, 3 lenses, couple of Grafmatics and the extra required bits needed, so I'll check the Osprey out. I had a go today at tightening the gears up on my 410 but it didn't work – it still has play in it :( ...

Re: Advice sought re. best bag and also tripod head
David – the Osprey Atmos looks like a nice bag, what do you pack the equipment in within the bag though? It looks like the front panel only opens to about 2/3rds of the way down, I'd have thought that'd make access to the contents diffiult? The Waypoint looks like it opens closer to the bottom of th...

Re: Advice sought re. best bag and also tripod head
I had a 322RC2 at the point when I 'went film', it was OK with my Ebony 45RSW (although I do recall Joe Cornish suggesting it wasn't up to the job when I went on my first workshop). But I'm not sure it'd be up to the job with a heavier camera. It is quite user friendly though, I certainly try one ou...

Re: Advice sought re. best bag and also tripod head
Hi Michael, just to clarify about the Photobackpacker – I don't use any of there inserts just the backpack. I did try their inserts a while back but didn't get on with them – far too fiddly messing about opening the lids every time you want a lens, in my opinion the Lowpro insert is a much better op...

Re: Advice sought re. best bag and also tripod head
I've tried a whole host of camera backpacks and non of them have really hit the mark. I find Lowpro bags too bulky, heavy and not overly comfortable on long treks. I now have the perfect solution for me: a Kelty Redwing P2 backpack from Photobackpacker with a Lowepro Pro Roller 1 Insert. These backp...

Re: New Lee Filters - BIG!
I wish they'd concentrate on getting their standard sized filters made so there's enough to go round and not months of waiting for them!

Hi Dave,
Yes it is the ANR glass so yopu can also dry mount.
I have the same issue with my car tomorrow – MOT day, it's always a worry!

Re: Epson V750 with Betterscan station
I'll have another look for the missing holder agian tomorrow – that was my reasoning for selling the two items together, to make it a usable scanner without the holders.
I'm sure I still have them somewhere though

Re: Epson V750 with Betterscan station
Hi Charlie/Patrick
I could split them if there's a buyer for both.
Split would be £50 for the Betterscan and £365 for the scanner.
I have now found the standard Epson 4x5 film holder.
