Velvia discontinuation
Hi All, I was most dismayed to hear last week of the impending demise of Velvia 50 (4x5). I became aware of the news via twitter as I sat in a cafe in Manchester late last week, needless to say 'dismay' was an understatement. I am a recent convert to LF (Sept. 11) and a person who only uses and only...

Re: Isle of Mull
Hi Collas and Dave
I'll be based in Bunessan, in the south of the island. I've seen pictures of Tobermory looks interesting. Dave like the look of Kintra (nice shots).
Thanks for the advice guys much appreciated.

Re: Metering, what's gone wrong?
Hi Paul I read your post today and felt the need to respond, since I have been having similar issues regarding exposure. I have just started in LF (end Sept 2011) and have shot about 100 sheets in total so far. So I am by no stretch of the imagination claiming to be anything other than a complete no...

I would like to buy some used Fidelity dark slides. Does anyone have a few (5-6) that are in good nick and surplus to requirements?
Thanks

Re: Maxwell Screen
Hi All Thought I should post an update in case anyone finds themselves in a similar situation in the future. I have been in touch with Hugo Zhang who advised me that the Chamonix 45-n2 (latest version - Sept 2011) screen is comprised of ground glass, fresnel and protective cover (lens to viewer). Af...

Re: Maxwell Screen
HI Andrew Thanks for your advice. I am a member of the other forum and had a look through their posts yesterday without much success. I decided to leave a posting similar to this message later in the evening. I've had one reply from that forum which suggested that is unlikely that the screen would f...

Maxwell Screen
Hello All
I have the opportunity to get a Maxwell screen. However, it seems to be designed for an Ebony. Could anyone tell me if there is any reason why the Maxwell screen (ultra bright - for an Ebony) would not retrofit on a Chamonix 045-u2.
Cheers

WTB: Lee 0.45 ND Hard grad
Hello All
I've been trying to buy the above filter without success. Is there anyone out there who may have one of these, that's been sitting in the bottom of your bag and not being used. All you Portra converts must have loads of filters you want to unload
All the best

Re: Instant Film :: FP100C45
Hi Julian I've just been looking on the Mr Cad web site. They have some Fuji instant advertised, not exactly sure whether it's what you're looking for but have pasted the blurb from their listing below. They want 8.50 box or 70.00 for 10. "Fuji Instant FP100C 31/4x41/4 Glossy or Matt - Single dated ...

Re: Another newby question
Hi Thingy It may seem strange/silly to seasoned LFers, but this was one of the reasons for the post. I wanted to know how people post their film, the mechanics of it. Do you send the box (I don't have spare boxes yet)? How much protection (several envelopes, padded) if any? Maybe I should have been ...

Another newby question
Hi I took delivery of a 4x5 camera a couple of weeks ago and now have 20 sheets of film that I need to send for processing (E6). I've tried to search the forum for some help but can't find what I'm after. I have a box containing two plastic sleeves which each have ten exposed sheet. My questions are...

Hi Bill
Doesn't matter whether it's local or online, just as long as they're a good dealer (have it in stock regularly), with fair prices.
Thanks for the replies

Velvia Source
Hello
I'm trying to buy some Velvia 50 4x5 and have contacted RW but they only have one box left, I've looked on the net but can't find much information on other dealers.
Can anyone suggest a dealer that may have it in stock?
Regards

When I first looked at the photo, wasn't sure what you meant, but I assume you mean that tiny little circular mark on the bottom right of the standard?
