Welcome Katier. Re your quest for an affordable LF outfit, have you tried the camera fair held at the Wolverhampton race course, afraid you have missed todays fair but the next one is August the 23rd. There is at least one regular stall holder who is into LF and often others with bits of kit. Worth ...

I will swop you my transformer for yours if you like my 504 never gets that quick, course it may be my negs being denser than yours. Also check your filters are indeed in the light path, I found I was not getting them fully into the light path because I had not turned the knob far enough. Regards Pa...

I have found that I can get away without the tempering bath when doing up to 4 sheets 5x4 in modified print tank. Use the pre soak to get the drum and film up to temp and keep all chemicals at temp in a waterbath, the wash between stages keeps the drum temp stable and as it is only the first dev tha...

Got out with the Sinar yesterday all did not go well, after a bit of difficulty getting the darkslide back in removed film holder to find sheet of HP5 hanging out of camera, moved on and managed to suffer total brain fade and give Velvia 50 32 second exposure instead of 3.2. Today tho...

Hi Johnathan, If one camera has an iris opening of f22 for 2 min it will let in x amount of light. If the same camera has an iris opening of f4 for 2 min it will let in 5x amount of light, as f4 is 5 times larger than f22. So if in the first example the iris alowed say 10 lux ( measurement of light ...

Hi Ian, I don't quite understand your interesting comment here. Surely if the LF user metered 2min at F22 and the SF user 2min at F4, the total light energy available inside the camera over the 2 minute period would be the same, regardless of the outside light levels (on the grounds that I don't ha...

Hi all,
Dumb question I know but how easy is it to decant film from a quick load box into DDS? Appreciate will have to be done in total dark but is it doable please. I have no quickload holder but do have DDS. I would be home prossesing the sheets.

There seemed to be a number of people who were interested in this film, I agreed a price and placed an order for some of it via the PM system here. In my final PM I asked Tom how he would like payment as I assumed it was a cash up front deal, I recived no answer, so have to assume Tom didnot want to...
