i use a set of these:

they work well but are quite pricey for what they are. have heard of some people making use of black drainage tubing with caps on the ends.

hiya, i have used this film in the past and have gotten some fine pinholes which turned out to be the stop bath being too aggressive, i changed to water for stop and the problem went away. cheers. john

it is a 4x5 image. i think 5x7 would be fine with one. there is a guy who shoots the 7 inch on 8x10 on but 1:1 portraits, strange images they are here is a link, you have to click through the links to see the pictures. i will definitely be shooting some more with it very soon. thanks for the comment...

it is just a roughish scan from my epson 3200, i scan in colour negative mode and thats how bad the cast is but i quite like it. a bit lith like really.

hiya all, i have got hold of a 1944 Aero Ektar and had to give it a dam good spring clean with it's scary elements. was a bit of a long shot doing a self portrait with it's f 2.5 aperture but with the help of a stick with blobs of blu tak where my eyes were going to be i think it's turned out well. ...

hiya sapata you can pre flash the paper in camera, if you hold a piece of paper in front of the lens or one of those diffuser filter type things over the lens and give it a bit of exposure then that will do the trick. it will be a trial and error situation but you will get much less contrast. cheers...

hiya keith, I have an older lens with an old shutter on which you have to use a locking cable release to hold the shutter open on the B setting for composing etc. sounds like it could be the same with this one. cheers, john

hiya andrew, can you adjust the aperture on this manually without the DB shutter? i have an older green sinar shutter with no aperture scale and wondered if it would work with this. cheers, john
