Re: Mobile broadband.
I use mine with a laptop, but my daughter has also used it with her mobile phone and tablet, so it seems multifunctional. When I bought mine it was network specific, but I've just checked on Amazon and you can get the device (unlocked) and sim card separately now. Just search amazon for mifi. Mine i...

Re: Mobile broadband.
Hi Dennis. Like Charles I have a mifi hub running the 3 network and have used it throughout the UK, even getting a signal in Dentdale, Cumbria, which is notoriously bad for any mobile or broadband signal. Luckily I linked up with them about 3 years ago, so mine still only costs £5/month!! Hard luck ...

Re: FS: complete LF kit
Hi Andrew I hadn't intended to do a full scale marketing exercise - saving that for ebay when I've got time and space to take reasonable photos. Thought I'd offer the whole kit here first at a bargain price. Anyone seriously interested contact me and I can make arrangements (within reason) for them ...

Re: Lake District Spring 2013
Glad to be of service, Charles! And obviously it was all worthwhile - that is a great shot; although my favourite is your real chocolate box final one of the cottage and topiary. It takes me back to childhood tins of biscuits (all the rage again now)! Maybe I'll hang on to the LF a bit longer. Lynne

Re: help
A few years back I went on a photography day out to Bradgate Park in Leicestershire, which was OK, especially for autumn. A wide variety of habitats, rocky moorland, mixed woodland, stone walls etc. Not great for stunning views but lots of bits and pieces to get to grips with LF techniques. http://w...

Re: The way this Board is run
Does Ian know something that I don't? First he complains there are not enough images on the site, then decries the membership that makes images on film and scans them into Photoshop. I've tried all ways of posting my originals onto the site by stuffing my trannies into the computer via the keyboard,...

Re: Colour Negatives vs Colour slides
Hi Valerio I have just started to experiment with colour neg film as an alternative to Velvia 50. I've been trying out the 2 Kodak Portra films (160 and 400) and Fuji Pro 160S, but only in 35mm format so far - 5x4 is too expensive to use untested! I scan the film using a Minolta film scanner set to ...

Re: The way this Board is run
Andrew I accept that I over-stepped the mark with Lynne, so I apologise for that. I think Charles has spoken for me on this. (and I use a Wista if you feel one's choice of camera is a worthwhile source of insult) Ian from one of the Norther Clique In case you didn't read Charles's final post on the ...

Cibachrome opportunity
I have been offered a Cibachrome printer+drier at a very affordable price by an elderly gentleman who has had to give up wet processing due to ill health. I'm not in a position to take up the offer (plus I wouldn't know where to start). If anyone is genuinely interested please pm me and I can provid...

WTB Bronica Sq
I know it's not large format, but I'm looking to buy a square format Bronica (well hasselblad would be nice, but out of my price bracket) to replace my Mamiya 645 which I've just ebayed. If anyone has one which they are thinking of parting with, I'd love to hear about it.
