Some ULF sizes on clearance

I guess I'm mainly posting this to see a 2014 post in the General discussion forum, so a happy new year and I hope you are all well! If you got the Ag Photgraphic email then you'll already know about this, but otherwise here's the link for some film (and paper) they are clearing. http://www.ag-photo...

The listing says it's based on the Wisner Traditional rather than later ones which were made by Wista, but it doesn't actually say who made it.

Zone V1 camera on the auction site

Stated by the seller to date back to the 80s and allegedly unused, it looks like a chance to buy something that bit different if you're in the market. Absolutely no connection to me, but it makes you wonder what others might have tucked away in their cupboards! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Zone-Vl-5-x4...

Robert White Clearance

Their list includes a few Toyo Field lens boards and Toyo ground glasses, plus there are centre filters and a few other LF bits & bobs. I've no interest in this, but maybe someone else is looking for them?

Re: New Ilford Obscura 5x4 pinhole review

Great review Paul and so much more entertaining than the boring old written one I did for another website! http://www.ephotozine.com/article/ilford-obscura-5x4-pinhole-camera-review-21705 I was going to mention the newly set up Obscura Flickr account but I see you're there already. :) http://www.fli...

Ffordes have a Sironar-N in E++ condition for £189 if that's the ballpark you're in?

Re: 5x7 film holder confusion

As has been said, the external dimensions of the holders might be the same but metric sizes just don't mix with imperial sizes when it comes to sheets of film. The 13x18 is regularly described as 5x7 because the cameras we see on sale are 5x7 and that is the cameras that will be used for 13x18. Just...

Re: Models for LF portraiture

I should start off by saying that I've never actually done this myself, but I think your best bet might be a life model who is used to adopting a pose and holding it for quite a while with minimal movement. If you are anywhere near an art college, they could well be able to help you find one. The li...

Re: Ilford pricing

Andrew I didn't mean that Silverprint's carriage cost was high across the board, but for a 25 sheet box of Ilford 5x4 it's adding a full 20% onto the price and the comment was in that context. Jessops charge £1.99 for Royal Mail standard delivery or £3.99 next day and a competitive £36.99 for the fi...

Ilford pricing

Now let me point out from the start that I consider Ilford to be a national treasure that should be supported wherever possible. To get an idea about pricing I'd link to eBay to check out the real world price of a box of 25 sheets of 5x4 HP5: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=hp5+sheet&_sacat=42...
