Having now read all the posts would advise the following: I agree with the 'no camping' view - I love camping, backpacking, snow holing etc. done all sorts but the gear constraint plus LF makes it just too difficult on this occasion based on my experience of past trips. I am interested, in fact prompted to join this group as a result of this prospect. Seeking approval from the c'tee - its not really the money, more 10 days 'off the leash' - but with weekends at either end I am expecting to only need to use 6 days leave.
