Re: Tempered Water Supply for Jobo
Tim, You need to make sure that water is pumped through to the raised trough situated below the film development tank. This pumping action is performed by the external motor on the rear of the machine. My ATL-2300 uses an external 12V supply for the motor as the Jobo electronics in my machine don't ...

Re: Tempered Water Supply for Jobo
Tim, In the Jobo ATL-2x00 series machines, the tempered supply is used for warm water that gets pumped into the film developing tank (e.g. E6 film washing). The water bath is kept at temperature by an internal 1000W heater, i.e. starts off cold and gradually reaches the correct process temperature. ...

DJ,
I think I've seen posts referencing the Microtek scanners indicating some potential issues. Anyone interested might do well to search around on www.hybridphoto.com

Re: Lens hoods
Thanks for the reply. How does one go about attaching the lens hood to the lens?Joanna Carter wrote: Finally Tom, I don't know if you have gathered yet, but I can supply Lee products at a 15% discount for UKLFPG members.

Lens hoods
I've read through Tim Parkin's article on the 'Lee' brand lens hoods, but these seem to be designed for use with the 'Lee' resin filters, as is to be expected. Any comments on lens hoods (to avoid stray rays and the rain), that work well with standard glass B+W type filters? Initial use would probab...

Re: Why E6 over C-41?
I'm sure you could use the motion picture stock in a stills camera though.. As far as I'm aware some people have done this, but there are issues including that motion picture film is generally lower in contrast compared to stills film. I'm also not sure how straightforward it is to get short length...

Re: Why E6 over C-41?
Tim, Motion picture colour negative film uses a different process to C-41, so I'm not sure how much interconnectedness there is between the two markets (motion picture & stills photography). However, apparently Kodak have used aspects of the technology developed for motion picture for some of their ...

Why E6 over C-41?
I've noticed browsing around this forum that E6 film seems to get more attention than C-41 colour negative. As colour negative can record greater dynamic range, is generally more flexible regarding exposure, and can be printed economically in the darkroom via the RA-4 process, is the main attraction...

Re: Hello from Norfolk
Thanks Paul. My website needs a serious update, none of the images have been updated since early 2007. The plan is to do a major redesign and base it around something more akin to a portfolio concept later in the year; as the selection on the site at the moment was intended to be temporary until I m...

Hello from Norfolk
Hello from Norfolk. I've been reading the forum for a few months but decided to join today. In photography terms, I've made some forays into large format with my 8x10 camera, but my work is predominantly in medium format.
