Re: Omega D5 enlarger owners?

Dave,

There is quite a following for those enlargers on both the large format site and on photo net, if that helps.

Re: Mac iPhoto.

Search the Apple Mac forums about the problem, you may get lucky that someone has already found a solution to similar problem. I have always found information on various Mac mysteries there.

Re: Mac iPhoto.

Could I suggest you try searching the hard drive? For recent OS versions, use Go to menu choice on main screen, and look under all files and also under pictures. The older OS systems let you go straight to a hard drive search. Good luck. But they are probably there somewhere.

Hi Phil,

Just interested in asking about this lens, is it still for sale, and if so, what's your best price please?

As if I really need yet another 240mm!
Just asking.

Apart from that, trust all is well for you.

Re: WTB 5x7 DDS

I don't know from personal practical experience but I have seen any number of forum threads pointing out that 13x18 will not fit into 5x7 holders without bowing and 5x7 in 13x18 holders is liable to fall out. I can vouch for this too from personal experience using both 5x7 and 13x18. Annoying momen...

Re: making large negs on an epson printer ?

Dean, search up on making digital negs, there's a whole science (or maybe craft) out there, loads of books have appeared on the subject, look up in amazon etc. It seems to have a growing following, and when I have time I certainly intend to pursue it.

Slightly different subject, I've got two undrilled original KMV metal lens board that I was going to get drilled. Could anyone suggest an outlet/source for that in UK please? Or will I also be sent into the shed with a hacksaw or whatever? Thanks for any suggestions.

Re: Small brass screws

Thanks All, very helpful and much appreciated. I splurged recently on a few old brassies just to try them out, so was looking for a variety of the smaller, but not too thin, wood screws to mount the flanges. There used to be a great little hardware shop in Surbiton for odd little brass screws but th...

Small brass screws

I'm looking for a source of small brass screws to mount an old brass lens to a wooden lensboard. Or more precisely to screw the countersunk flange to the board. Could anyone suggest a source please? Most of the old hardware stores have gone, and it's no use looking in places like Homebase etc.

Re: 10x8 Wide Angle Lens Recommendations

Re the Cooke XVa triple convertible, I believe it was Tim Parkin who mentioned above that it was a problem that the FFD was greater than the focal length of the lens(es). Could someone explain to a neophyte like me what that implies please? What exactly is the disadvantage? Thankyou. John

Re: 5x4 enlarger in a nova tent?

There is a Jobo tent which you see occasionally on ebay. And I recall Roger Hicks displaying use of a tent in one of his books (it was his first darkroom). But I don't know if it was for 6x9 or the bigger 5x4 enlargers.

Re: WTB: Film Changing Tent for 8x10

It works well for 4x5 and ok for 5x7, don't try loading grafmatics-a frustrating (and unsuccessful) experience with this changing room! It's very light and portable, but not easy to pack, being quite large when flattened out. For 8x10, it's worth checking out the US suppliers for a Harrison, the pri...

Re: FS Lee Multi-Filter Pouch

Hi David,

Could be interested, but intrigued by why 10 filters is too few (I don't have any right now), and should I be planning more?

Glad if you could help clarify for me.

Thankyou - John
