By parallelism I mean the GG must not be tilted in any direction in relation to plane on the rear rear standard where the film holder rests. i.e. its depth must be consistent across its whole surface.

This is a good idea in theory BUT what you are doing is taking a macro shot of the ruler. At those focus distances the depth of field is very narrow. However, the depth of focus is large so that a small change in GG position shows indiscernable difference in neg. Also does not tell you how much you ...

also you say your test results were disappointing. How did you view those results? remember that a modern screen has approx 96 pixels per inch resolution. If you print at 360dpi you would be squeezing 4 times that many pixels into the same space. That makes the print look much sharper compared to wh...

If you have a good epson photo printer, a 360 dpi print will be very good quality if your camera is upto it. But if you want a full 20x16inch print at 360dpi then you'd need a pixel array of 7200x5760 which is about the size of the new 40Megapixel Hassleblad base system which costs £16600 plus VAT. ...

many web sites block direct linking to images on their site. It's called HOT LINKING and it is frowned upon because it uses the bandwith of the site the image is hosted on and is considered to be bandwidth theft by many. i.e. you would be using photo.net servers bandwidth to fill this site with imag...
