Re: RIP
To be honest color film is becoming a hard to get commodity. Notwithstanding I don't like the idea, but at some time, I will have to switch to a digital technical camera. If finances permit keeping the possibility of movements. Or doing B&W only. Or going down the D800 route. ( Going from bad to wor...

Re: HC-110 vs D-76 developers
My own preference is to non solvent developers with LF. So HC-110 would be my choice if it has to be one of the two. My personal preference at the moment is FX-37 or FX-39 for it's non solvent nature and increase of film speed.

Re: Determing normal development for film
There is a lot to find about the optimum development of the negative for further printing in the dark room. But not so much for scanning end post processing with PS. Is it possible to say how a negative should look like for scanning ? dmax - dmin ?

Re: Determing normal development for film
There are a lot of ways leading to Rome. My current method is to put step wedge into my enlarger and determining the exposure that prints density 0,75 step on a grade 2 paper to a reflection density 0,75. Subsequently I print the negative I want to test with the same exposure. If the print has to mu...

Re: Fogging
it's most likely that your dark slide is leaking. The only other thing I can think of, is that with a linhof back, some dark slide's do not go in easy all the way. They halt just 2-3 mm short. The slot between the linhof back end the dark slide will not be engaged properly. I have a linhof so do not...

Re: Fogging
I have noticed that some people when replacing the slide they insert one corner first. In an attempt to make it more smooth. But this can cause light leak.

The amount of film's you can do depends on the quality you expect. Especially the blix part. Colors will become more muddy with each reuse.

Every group has it own cultural habits. Thats a nice thing. On this forum the majority seams to have a ebony and do there processing with a epson 750. So be it. On the german LF forum there are a lot of linhof owners how know more about optics than I have ever dreamed of. And so on. As regular visit...

Take a good look at the wash between the 2e dev and the bleach/fix. And use only fresh bleach/fix. That stuff is kind of self destruct once prepared.

Re: Query re JOBO AutoLab 1500
8 x 10, I have tried tray. For more than one sheet I am to clumsy. For some time I have rolled a large paper drum over one strait rail and one corrugated rail. That way the drum makes a waddling movement. That resulted in a even development. Color was still a problem that way. So now it's a ATL2200 ...
