Re: Lake District Spring 2013
Lastly, a set from Buttermere where we were met with some interesting light (at times) and some wonderful reflections. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8253/8692693021_2ba00a4bfc.jpg Looking toward High Crag. Re: Lake District Spring 2013
Quarries - three different ones. Three shots showing the varying stones in different quarries. These have all been enhanced using merge with a Silver EFEX Pro layer to enhance contrast and structure. I was looking for patterns in the faces of rock and missed looking for the intricate details of a mo...

Re: Lake District Spring 2013
Got my film back from Peak so thought I'd put a couple up here. The first is a reflection of the trees in the River Derwent in Borrowdale a short walk from the cafe in Grange where we all met up. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8405/8686260857_801c1ff8f9.jpg (Ebony 45SU with Fuji Provia 100F, 270mm le...

Re: Lake District Spring 2013
It was good to meet up with a few old faces once again and enjoy some fine company, beer, food and weather. Yes, I did say weather. It was mostly good, especially a rather special dawn on Saturday morning. Apologies for not being around Sat evening / Sun morning. Shot quite a bit of film for a weeke...

Re: Lake District Spring 2013
I'd definately by up for a spring meet with the LFers. I know we have done it before, but Keswick is always a good base. Lots of good scenery within easy reach and excellent places for spending beer vouchers. And the Ghoulash in the Dog and Gun is worth the visit on its own.

Sold : Ebony RSW and case
Two years ago I aquired a 45SU and kept the RSW thinking it would be a backup or an alternative for long walks. In reality in the last two years I've not exposed a single sheet with the RSW and I'm even backpacking with the 45SU with the excellent F-Stop Satori back pack. So, I think its time to sel...

Ebony Wood
We all love Ebony cameras here, don't we. Well, some of us do anyway.
This is nothing to do with cameras but is Bob Taylor of Taylor Guitars talking about the worlds sources for Ebony wood.
Just thought it might be of interest.

Yes, Dave. Thats it exactly.dave_whatever wrote: Is this for a kind of "chuck your gear in a normal rucksac for backpacking/skitouring" sort of thing?
Going forward I really like the F-Stop Satori back pack but it does seem jolly expensive!

Like them Paul. You weren't helped by a poor looking sky but they use foregrounds well. As for colour they all seem to have an underlying green tint to me. Might be me. What does anybody else think?

Re: How do you file your images?
I simply number all my shots incrementally and record all the details in an Excel workbook. With Excel I can do sorting, searches and filtering on any of the details. I also use the info to format print labels and page labels for the clearfiles that the film is stored in. In the details in the sprea...
