Colour neg processing.

Hi all, can anyone recommend a processor who can offer good quality 120 colour neg film processing?
My long term one has given up wet processing. Thanks for any suggestions. Dennis.

Re: Scanner

Joanna,
Thank you for your last post to Ian.
After a lot of messing about I have at last managed to download the Epson scanner app which allows me to scan from the 4990 scanner to my MacBook! Epson HELP appear to not know this. Dennis.

Re: Scanner

Thanks, but I have just found the same address. The only problem is - it has so far refused to complete the download. I wonder why???
I'll try again after switching everything off & giving it a rest . . .Dennis.

Re: Scanner

Chris, Just seen your post. My version of Epson Scan is incompatible with Sierra, too old, & Epson suggest using Mac's Image Capture, but this does not work either since I believe it is incompatible with the 4990 scanner! So it appears that I am stuck with keeping a 17" iMac just to use the scanner....

Re: Processing 10x8 B&W film in a developing tank!?

Saw this post at an opportune moment! I am really getting a bit past large format processing & was going to ask if anyone could suggest a reliable commercial 10x8 b & w processor I could use. Or is there an experienced member who could offer to process the odd few 10x8s I get through? Currently two ...

Light Box.

My ancient light box is now rarely used & may be of use to somebody else. Lit area is approx. 320 x 240mm, o.a. dims approx. 460 x 340 x 110(max) mm; on/off switch. Just discovered it is an Arrow Pro-500.A4. Relatively fragile since it has a plastics case, & is fairly heavy so would be better collec...

Scanner

The earlier post re an Epson scanner producing odd results strikes a chord. I have an elderly Epson 4990 scanner which works perfectly with my equally elderly iMac, but produces only very dark, useless scans with my current MacBook. I am pretty sure this is down to Epson not having software which wo...

Re: Printer.

Barry,
Thanks. Yes, I did know of the availability of cleaners, but frankly I cannot work up the enthusiasm for messing with it - too old I guess. I have just bought a new Epson which will probably do what I now require more cheaply than the R800. Dennis.

Printer.

Hi all,
I have an Epson R800 printer which I have given-up on. I am told it requires a complete manual nozzle clean, for which I gather there are kits available. Does a printer such as this have any value? Or do I just have to dispose of it? Thanks, Dennis.

Joanna, 1/ Yes; 2/ No name as such, On the package it is called Ink Cartridge - figures! 3/ It is an iMac G5, c mid '90s I think. Just prior to the new Intel chips which render it impossible to update. 4/ 10.4.11. This may well be the problem. In fact the good folk at Premier Ink have refunded on th...

Printers

Good morning, My foray into trying re-filled Epson cartridges has not worked. The printer (R800) accepts the cartridges in that they show on the set-up utility, but the computer, an ancient iMac, refuses to communicate with the printer. Conclusion - buy a new printer (& Mac, but that is another stor...
