Re: British Large Format Landscape Photographers

Well, I've shot around 20 sheets of 8x10 B&W, the same number of 8x10 paper negs, and around 30 sheets of 5x7 B&, 20 B&W paper negs and a few old glass plates. All self-developed and printed. Does that count?

Re: What format?

I do think that some people are a little unfair to the people who are peeking over the edge. However, a lot of the personages on FADU do use digital output from time to time - but just don't put it on FADU me thinks. Or APUG. I must just say I can't quite get my head around why photogs would use LF ...

Re: Paper Negative

Hi Gari, thanks for teh comment although I'm not sure I'm up to speed on your h/p and TKs! For this snap, I pre-flashed some Silverprint proof RC paper [see http://www.silverprint.co.uk/ProductByGroup.asp?PrGrp=1197 ] with the condenser enlarger at about 2' height stopped down to f16, 00 filter for ...

Paper Negative

I have been working with paper negatives of late since they can give such a lovely Pictorialist image in the right hands [and are much cheaper than film]. This is my third image of this type taken on a day trip down to the Isle of Harris with a fellow snapper from Lewis Photographica [continuing] . ...

Mine didn't have a GG either so I bought a 5x7 one and mounted it in a picture-frame that fits nicely in the back. I find the russian film/plate holders to be useless. I use various 5x7 holders held in place with elastic bands, Not the usual but it works - mostly

Apparently, Ilford have a 20 year lease on the Mobberly site. So perhaps they will then migrate to The Lakes. Also, Ilford have taken on coating Bergger emulsions/paper [not rebranding] so will require extra capacity.
AS for POP, they have all the market. Why stop?
