Re: Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated
With all the money printing in Japan which will tend to devalue the Yen hopefully we'll see a price drop in terms of £, € and $ currencies.

Re: Old Man of Storr viewpoint
I would definitely advise you recce this location in daylight as the terrain is very jumbled and it would be easy to lose your way if tackling it blind in the pre dawn light (experience talking).

Re: Velvia 50 UK Shipment?
My order for RVP50 was despatched from Germany this morning.
I notice fotoimpex.de have stock, Fuji Pro shop (UK) stating they have 1 box left, Robert White 'out of stock' (have not seen them with any of the last batch stock as yet).

Re: Velvia 50 UK Shipment?
I'm checking the websites of major UK and other European suppliers of film stock daily to ensure I'll get a large supply of Velvia 50 when the promised last shipments start to arrive. No sign of any yet ....

Re: National Portrait Gallery
Sure. I also think it unlikely that a photographer would mix up a painting with a photograph, although it is very 'photographic.' I've searched the NPG site and Paul Nurse seems the only likely candidate sitter for being a Nobel Prize recipient for work in the field of cell biology (perhaps John wa...

Re: National Portrait Gallery
I'm going to stick my neck out here, but are you talking about the picture of Paul Nurse by Jason Brooks? He got a Nobel Prize for some kind of Cell Biology. http://benchmarks.rockefeller.edu/viewArticle.php?id=187&issue_id=89 The portrait (painting) of Paul Nurse referred to is only 1710 mm x 2710...

Re: Friday 13th from HELL!!!!!
It's interesting(?) that this news is only being announced by Fujifilm UK. I have not been able to find this product announcement on any other official Fuji/Fujifilm website, admittedly I don't speak Japanese so am unable to determine if this has been announced in the home territory of Fuji. All dis...
