Re: Colour neg processing.

Dennis, I'm sure there are still quite a few doing this but for what it's worth I use Peak Imaging in Sheffield. They are fast and reliable. No commercial connection.

Re: Exhibition: Joe Cornish Gallery, Northallerton

Many congratulations Rod, and sorry I'm not able to pop in and have a look. The flower in your advert is presumably Magnolia grandiflora?

Dennis, can you give us more details please? Is the projector MF, SF or both? Lens? etc.

Thanks, George

Re: Large greetings from Sheffield

In the reply screen there is an option to upload an attachment. It's a tab next to the options tab. If you can't see it then it's possible that you don't yet have permission being a newbie, in which case a pm to one of the mods/admins should help.

Re: Large greetings from Sheffield

Welcome, Robert! There are still plenty of LF users in these days of digicams. When you get time, please feel free to post some of your photographs.

Re: Hello From Southwest Scotland

Welcome to the forum, Chris. You sound to have had an eventful introduction to LF. There are people here with good experience of LF, alternative printing etc. The forum has been quiet for a long time, partly I suspect because quite a few have "gone digi", and also because there's a lot of informatio...

Re: Maxwell focussing screens

John, the Ebony WA fresnel is indeed a third component which sits between the 2 that you have. However, it would not be any good for your longer lenses. I have it on my 45S (which I now use exclusively for MF) and my 240 mm lens is sometimes hard to focus with it, so anything longer would be worse. ...

Re: Maxwell focussing screens

John, this is not an easy one because only you can make the decision after experiencing the difference, and without ordering one it's difficult to judge from another's experience. I have used the native Ebony screen with and without the Ebony fresnel, and also Beattie and Maxwell screens, though not...

Re: Old pictures of Lakeland help dementia sufferers

Many thanks Nick for these links. The Kendal museum has a page showing JH and his camera (and wife!) here http://www.lakelandmuseum.org.uk/joseph-hardman. It looks as if the image was viewed from above—could the camera have been a reflex design? Total ignorance here on my part! Also, do you know if ...

Many thanks for the link, very interesting. The photograph of her in her studio shows what appears to be an extremely heavy camera set at a rather rakish angle!
