Re: Hello from Sunny(less!) Sunderland

Thanks Bob, I'll look out for some of that. I don't have the space for a darkroom but can use the tiny bathroom blacked out sufficiently for three small trays and a safelight :) I've developed prints before (when I had a 'proper' darkroom) and that was magic, too. I'll have to stick with stand dev i...

Re: New member from Durham City

I have a Mk6 and a half. Mk6 with Mk7 mods: international back, mainly. Came with a 180mm Schneider Symmar lens/Compur shutter. I also had to look for DDS's separately. Finding them isn't hard but some of the prices.........! I also picked up an MPP 6x9 back. I have no idea why, they look really awk...

Re: Hello from Sunny(less!) Sunderland

Hi Mike Hi Adrian We could be developing enough members to have a local Northeast UKLF chapter. Just noticed another new one, from Durham :) I also considered doing something with that Paterson thermodrum at Chas Eagles in Sunderland, if that's the one you mean (It was, Brian advised against it. I'...

Jobo 4206 formatholder

Just looking to dev 5x4 in drums. My old style System 4 Paterson is no good for the taco method, the funnel fouls the top of the sheets. I've just acquired 4201 and a 4551 drums, intending to use one for 5x4 film. Possibly both. With them came x2 4206 'formatholder's. I've no instructions or experie...

Re: 'show us your camera or improvised/converted camera'

Mine as I bought it. So far, it's looking like an MPP Mk6 and a half: A Mk6 with some Mk7 additions. International back, mainly. Not entirely sure if the two accessory shoes were DIY additions, or why. Rangefinder no longer attached, though I gather this was an option anyway. http://i931.photobucket...

Re: For Info - 5x4 Darkslide Storage

Brilliant! Plus there's a superstore just 2 miles from me :)
Which is either 10mins by Metro or 8mins and road-rage round Sunderland's one-way system!
I'll have a couple of those on Sat, I think.

Hello from Sunny(less!) Sunderland

I'll keep it brief :) Recently acquired an MPP Micro Technical (5x4) to satisfy a 30yr itch. Not really had much chance to use it yet except for a couple of shots of my front room, to check light-tightness. I've already learned to pull out the dark slide from the holder before exposure and after fli...
