Re: FS: Wolf Faust scaner profiling target set S1 (IT8.7targ

What size are these Alexey? Wolf only has the set in 35mm - I suppose 4x5 will cost a lot more to produce. I used it for profiling scanner for 6x6 scans. As I was explained though they are profiled quite interestingly - he makes the 35mm target on a larger film sheet together with 4x5 target and in...

SOLD: Lee 105mm Linear Polarizer

For sale here is Lee 105mm Linear Polarizer. Very little use, perfect glass condition comes in a Lee filter pouch. Selling, because I now have Heliopan slim one which suits better to my needs. Contrary to popular belief it works perfectly well with modern DSLRs - I was using it on my Nikon D300 with...

Re: WTB: Lee Big Stopper

I was told that if I wanted to 'Do IR' I needed to get Nikon to adapt a D700 especially for IR use!!!   Not Nikon - they don't do it. But plenty of others do that - LifePixels for example http://www.lifepixel.com/ . You can buy a kit and do it yourself as well. HINT to NIKON: Co...

Re: WTB: Lee Big Stopper

I wonder why would you say that? What is wrong with CMOS (or CCD) sensor colour reproduction? All I know is that, on a Nikon D200, with a couple of 0,9ND filters and a polariser, I got a false infra-red colour effect on the image. I asked Formatt and they told me that it was the factory fitted filt...

That's excellent - they had added exactly what I wished for. I am going to give this one a go rather than waiting...

Re: WTB: Lee Big Stopper

Big Stopper is known to give a slight cold cast and it gets more pronounced as exposure gets longer. This sounds a bit dubious to me. Surely any difference in colour cast perceived in photos would be a function of sensor/film response to long exposures, not the filter somehow magically changing str...

Re: WTB: Lee Big Stopper

Hi TimH The link you gave advertised the B&W filter. The new magazine, Advanced Photographer did a survey of 10-stop filters and concluded they all have colour casts except for the Lee. Not to disappoint you but their tests were done on ND Grads - Lee is known to be well tested by various photograp...
