Re: Shen Hao - used market

There's one on eBay at the moment and finishing on Saturday afternoon. The bidding looks a bit strange as it appears that someone has put in several bids above the £350 that's currently showing, but it's a list of private bidders. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SHEN-HAO-PRECISION-LARGE-FORMAT-SCHNEIDER-O...

Re: which black and white film?

I can't remember if it was on here or APUG or both, but searching for "reciprocity" might be indicative of potential problems with some films, especially now that the darker days are with us. I bought some Shanghai film in 5x7 (cheap on eBay) but have only managed to shoot a few sheets and can't giv...

Re: The way this Board is run

One of the ways we might be able to allow greater freedom in uploading attachments would to "prune" the Classifieds forum. The vast majority of all the uploaded attachments are images relating to posts in the Classified forum, pictures of equipment for sale. This forum more than any other is viable...

LF lust!

I'm fortunate enough to be ignorant of the life giving/affirming properties of this particular Cooke lens, but I believe some folk lust after it and may want to know where they can find one secondhand.

I think I can beat you on quantity of film in my fridge, but you're a very clear winner on value with all that Polaroid. Hell, some of your film even seems to be in date!

Re: 5x7 C41 and E6 labs?

Looks like The Darkroom will do 5x7 in E6 @ £4.65 a sheet, but that looks a bit expensive compared to £5 for an 8x10. :?

Re: WTB: Quickload Acros

Tough luck, but I'd have been in there bidding as well if they hadn't finished while I was at work! All that gear belonged to Paul Morton whose post about it is currently a couple below this from last night, but I suspect he might have got a better price there than by advertising the Acros here.

Was that your only tank or do you have another one? Might also be interested in the easy loader.

Re: Processing sheet film

XTOL works out as the ideal developer environmentally, plus its characteristics are very good. The downside (and you just knew there would be one!) concerns the fact it may fail after several months in bottles. I currently have sonme in the cupboard, but tend to use D-76 and Rodinal for their reliab...

Re: Drying sheet film

Some/many/all Fuji films have a hole in one corner and you thread them onto something to dry. MIne was a number of open safety pins on a string or similar and it works very well!

There's a Fuji on eBay if you're that keen, but it's in Taiwan so you'd need to add duty and vat to the price.

Plenty of dirt cheap ones on eBay, or just take a quick trip to your nearest charity shop! :)
