Walker Titan 4x5 XL review
At the start of January 09 I decided that I wanted to ‘upgrade’ my current 4x5 wooden field camera and sat down to do some serious research into what options were available from the manufacturers of which I was aware. I had already decided what I wanted and needed out of a camera so straight away th...

Hi Peter, you may be looking at the Walker SF which is a folder. The XL Wide weighs the same as my Shen Hao which is 400g heavier than the Ebonys.

When I bought my Shen I just researched it on the tinterweb, alot of people were saying good things about them and at the time it matched my budget. Shen Hao TZ45II-B For - Price (great way to get into LF) Lots of movements Against - Base tilts (drives me mad when you lock it off and it still creeps enough to throw focus off!) Would really like a fresnel in it. All in all its a very good camera to start with but longer I use it the more I see it...

Totally agree with Ian. I've used Foma 100 for the last 6 months and found it a very good film but like Ian says you will need to make thorough EI tests. I was developing it in Rodinal rated 80asa with a standard development time of 8 minutes. I've now changed to rotary developing my film so this wo...

Thanks for the tips Andrew. After a bit of Googling last night I found a couple hostels which I think we're going to try. As for the weather, I always have a small collapsable umbrella strapped to my bag but I think I'II upgrade it to a golfing brolley for this trip! :D I'm just praying that Mike Wa...

Budget accommodation at Glencoe or Rannoch Moor?
Myself and a friend are planning a trip to either Glencoe or Rannoch Moor for 5 days of intensive photography next month. We aim to stay for 5 night but we want to do it on the cheap.
