Re: The Most Important Photographer of the Late 20th Century

Interesting thread... I believe that in fact Crewdson 'worked light' on this project, taking with him only his "Camera man" and "Digital co-ordinator", but they did have a team on standby to build camera platforms, wetdowns, fog etc. Not wanting to flog a dead horse, but an analogy that I often use ...

Re: Sinar to Toyo

x post from general; Aren't toyo boards larger than sinar? which would mean making a 'step' with a male sinar and female toyo...? If not I think a guy on the auction site (in the US) made inexpensive mdf 'adapters' for going from a larger lensboard to a smaller one. Thought he had Toyo to Sinar, but...

Re: WTB: Film Changing Tent for 8x10

Not sure what it's like, but calumet do one too that I beleive might fit 8x10. You would have to make your own mind up dimentions wise. The alternative I guesss would be to make an MDF box with sleeves like that tents have...but I guess that depends upon whether you want to travel with it, how handy...

Re: Ilford Positive Paper first result

I have seen a very nice portrait done with this paper - an ilford rep showed it to me. He said really you MUST pre flash the paper to get the best out of it - unflashed it is quite contrasty.

Re: Imacon Flextight Precision

a RATOC SCSI/FW converter which works fine with an Intel Mac Pro. I think we run ours through a RATOC too - over to a intel imac. Incidentally, all the flextight software is available as download, which is refreshingly nice, although I think 'officially' hasselblad have stopped supporting the older...

Re: Imacon Flextight Precision

We have one Precision II and one 646 at work. In regards to a true drum scanner, they are different animals, but the Precision II is nearly on par with the 646 (a newer model) the precision is slightly slower, but I believe is nearly the same model. In my exp. the precision is easier to open up to c...

Re: UK source of large lens caps?

Hi David, have you tried the auction site? I picked up a few for a 300mm lens. They ended up coming from the states but were still cheaper than buying new. There are a few sellers that seem to have lots of caps if you do a search. Also, I seem to remember someone mentioning mr. cad have lots, which ...

Re: Razzle 110b

Hi Dave, answers are yes to the tripod bush - if you look at image number 3, on the right (bottom of the camera in landscape format) of the camera is a small knurled 'extended tripod bushing' (black). Dean makes these due to the frame for the 4x5 back extending below the original line of the body. H...

Re: Latest LF film updates ?

Kodak have also dropped Tmax in all but 4x5, although Keith Canham (of Canham Cameras) is putting together a custom order (that has exceeded it's minium quantity) for 8x10 tmax.
