I personally have yet to find a head I trust more-with 8x10 and larger-than my Gitzo Rationale 4. I modified the back of the platform with a dremel to make it essentially a QR head. 4x5 is fine with the manfrotto head, but I haven't found one that will hold an 8x10 securely.

In addition to post above, Camera Stores such as FFordes often have the things you have mentioned for sale to gauge a price, or as Dennis mentioned, looking at 'completed items' on auction sites is (sometimes) a good guide, although, again as Dennis said, the kit is only worth what someone is willin...

I ordered a couple of boxes (Portra/TMAX) from Badger in the US. It came quickly, and was around half the price (Inc. all taxes and shipping!) of buying it here.

Postage on three of these in a box (bubble wrapped) costs approx £9 (cheapest option)
