Re: Transporter Bridge
Great images! wish I'd delayed my return trip now. I went really to shoot the old Magnesium works at Hartlepool but arrived about a month too late as it's now all fenced off with three quarters of it now demolished! As my trip was only a flying visit I only had room to pack my MF but I managed to se...

Re: Transporter Bridge
Did you go Charles? I was in Durham last week visiting an old friend, went to South Gare on Friday and nearly went to the transporter bridge! Unfortunately I had to head back home on Saturday morning otherwise I would have dropped you a line.

Re: Exhibition "Out of Time ; Contemporary Palladium Prints
It's about 45 minutes from where I live so may pop along... used to frequent the Greyhound Pub on the corner of FPR in the 80's... I believe it's now a poncy wine bar
Good luck with the exhibition, you have some beautiful work on show.

Re: Moved to Ipswich
Valerio - I posted a brief guide to Suffolk a couple of years ago viewtopic.php?f=4&t=592
Some of my favourite spots around Ipswich are Shingle Street, Bawdsey, Felixstowe Harbour (the bit directly across from Bawdsey), Waldringfield and Pin Mill

Re: Metering, what's gone wrong?
I concur with Jenny regarding the Pentax Spotmeter. Also, as opposed to my old Sekonic 508, I can meter a scene without taking my eye away from the viewfinder which is invaluable especially when the light levels keep changing. I've also just recently bought the tiny, very portable Gossen Digisix for...

Just had that feeling of Deja vu!
Have done this before with Sean and I can thoroughly recommend it (well apart from the climb up from Chapman's Pool!), unfortunately due to prior commitments I cannot make any of these dates

Re: Film photography magazine?
I've just terminated my subscription to B&W and Outdoor Photography magazines and taken up a subscription to the British Journal of Photography. It's not the ideal solution but at least it's not jammed full of constant reviews of entry level digital cameras and a plethora of photography workshop ads...

Now that's what I call a proper Billingham, the older they are the better they look. £80 is a bargain unfortunately I already own one albeit newer... but not as attractive
