Jobo Expert Tanks
Hello Everyone! I know some of you use the Jobo Expert tanks and I was wondering if they can be used only in association with a processor, like the CPP2 or the new CPP3. Can I actually use them as standard inversion tanks, with manual processing? They are a bit pricey, but if they produce a more uni...

I'm sure she won't mind, plus I think it's not going to be very complicated. We'll see how it goes!

Re: Which Dark Cloth?
Thanks to all for the suggestions!
I will look into the Paramo dark cloth suggested by Glenn and the BTZS one suggested bt Paul. However, I do like what Dave did with two t-shirts. My wife likes sewing, so I could ask her if she wouldn't mind doing something similar for me.

Re: Velvia discontinuation
I just signed the petition and I really hope it will reach the target of 2,500 signatures. It's going to be very sad if they will really stop producing this wonderful film!...

Which Dark Cloth?
Hi All, I currently use a Linhof dark cloth, which does what it says on the tin. However, it's a bit on the heavy side and being bright red it's not exactly what I would call discreet... Do you have any suggestion on an alternative dark cloth? I've seen Paramo makes one, but I was wondering w...

Meeting in Ipswich?
Hello everyone,
is there anyone else who lives in Ipswich or nearby? If so, it would be nice to meet you and go take pictures together. Let me know if you'd be interested!
Cheers,
Valerio

Hello again from Ipswich
Hi everyone, I've been away from the forum for quite a few months now, so I thought the best thing to do was to sey hello again in this section. Since last I posted many things happened, the most important being I got married. I've been living in Ipswich for a while now and I've seen a few locations...

Re: Moved to Ipswich
Cool, I really want to go and explore the area with my Linhof and it would be great to have company.
My weekends are a bit busy at the moment and I'm going to get married at the beginning of next month, but we should definitely catch up after I come back from my honeymoon.

I'm very tempted to get my hands on an expert drum now, though the price is very excessive for a new one... Better look on eBay!

Re: Ilford HP5+ at ISO 3200
This is actually the first time I ever pushed any film, beyond what its stated ISO speed. Back in my early years of film photography, using a medium format camera, I was obsessed with absolute sharpness and minimum grain. I still love that now, but I also recognise the artistic effect of the grain i...

Re: Moved to Ipswich
Hi David, I'm glad you had a good time up in York. I too had a relaxing Easter break. Thank you for the information about film dealers in the area. I will have a look at Redwood and see what they do. I buy film and chemicals from Silverprint as well, which is actually relatively close to where I wor...

Ilford HP5+ at ISO 3200
Hello all, last weekend I had a bit of fun testing Ilford HP5+ at ISO 3200. I developed the sheets in Kodak HC-100 dilution A for 9.5 minutes and 20 C, as per technical sheet recommendation. I have to say I'm very impressed with the results and was expecting to obtain very grainy negatives. There's ...
