Portraiture and still-life anyone?

I`ve noticed that the majority photographs on this site are mostly of landscapes or architecture images. I was wondering if anyone ever takes photo`s of still-life subjects or portraits? :?: I have a copy of John Blakemore`s Black & White Photography Workshop which has a lot of still-life subjects a...

Hi Keith - Hmmm, I would further ask if you intend to use this purely as a studio camera ot whether you intend to venture out into the wilds with it. If the latter, from a short experience with a Sinar F2, I would definitely advise against using a monorail and suggest a field camera instead. Take a...

Keith, why do especially want a Cambo ? Is it a matter of price or do you really prefer them ? You can pick up all sorts of different monorail cameras secondhand. Or would you even consider a field camera; Shen Hao have some interesting, low-cost, cameras, and Wista aren't that bad on cost. It isn`...

Cambo Camera Question.

Does anyone know who the UK stockist of Cambo products is? :?:
I have checked Calumet UK, but they only have the Cadet model in stock.
I am considering a SC2 or similar, or perhaps an equivalent by another manufacturer.

Schneider 110mm f/5.6 Super-Symmar XL Lens.

Does anyone use one of these lenses? :?: I am considering buying one to replace the tired old 90mm f/6.8 Angulon lens that I have and I wanted some information if users are pleased with the image quality. A 180mm Symmar-S has already replaced the old 150mm f/4.5 Xenar for my MPP and is a superb optic.

Re: FS: Fujinon SW 90/8

Absolutely mint condition current model Fujinon 90/8 for sale. I've used this lens once, the previous owner bought this from Robert White earlier in the year and had never used it. The lens is mounted on a Linhoff/Wista clone panel. A little history, I bought this a month or two ago in an attempt t...

The stuff I use is ODOURLESS That can be fatal. I once muddled up measuring cylinders of odourless chemicals, couldn't sniff any difference between them, made what I thought was the right guess and ruined 2 120 films. Hello Steve, My chemical graduates are marked for easy identification, so no prob...

The negatives came out OK, the one exposed at E.I.100 ISO/ASA had good midtones and highlights although the shadows were a touch too thin and lacking in detail, the one exposed at half an f/stop extra had excellent shadow details although the highlights and higher midtones were a bit dense. Perhaps ...

With a short period of sunshine yesterday (mostly raining), I exposed 3 sheets of the Kodak T-Max Readyloads, photographing an outdoor still-life subject and bracketing each sheet. The 1st one exposed at the recommended ISO, the 2nd at + half an f/stop extra and the 3rd at 1 stop extra to get a `fee...

Ultra Large Format eh. To win this camera, you have to guess what the film sheet format is. Me first, 30x40 glass-plate. :D
