Re: WTB: 90mm Lens Cap
Thanks Dave(s). I think I've got a few options there and should be able to get it sorted

Re: WTB: 90mm Lens Cap
Actually, it might be because I think that's exactly what I need. I've emailed calumet UK to see if they can supply one - might save on postage.Peter B wrote:You could be right on the size, but whether it is worth getting one sent from the US is a different matter!
Thanks for your help.

Re: WTB: 90mm Lens Cap
No, I was being thick I thought I'd just slap the thing onto the lens but, of course, I need an adapter ring as well.acs wrote:They're big, but if you're using filters anyway...

Re: WTB: 90mm Lens Cap
I'm not sure, but aren't these a bit too big - around 100mm or so?

WTB: 90mm Lens Cap
I've just bought a 300mm f5.6 Caltar II-N lens (my god it's huge!) and it's come without a front lens cap. The outer face of the front barrel is about 90mm in diameter - anyone have a push-on type cap to suit or know here I could buy one?

Re: View of Leeds
Thanks for all your input. I think I've concluded that the shot is about right and making any subtle variations to the colour balance is a bit of a waste of time until I get my monitor properly calibrated to a printer. I will try and fix that wonky building though.

I'm struggling a bit with free time for the next month or so due to working away from home but I'm sure others will be interested and I'll come along if I can

Re: View of Leeds
Joanna, that's certainly something I'd be interested in a little bit further down the line but I think it's probably a bit to soon to start getting in too deep with digital side of things. Apart from a brief stint with an old MPP about 10 years ago, I essentially started LF photography (actually, an...

Re: View of Leeds
I did apply a graduated highlight recovery and colour correction (to bring back the blue) but I think my effort was obviously too subtle. On the original scan the sky is almost completely white. I think your version does have a little more impact so I'll give it go. After looking the image slightly ...

Re: View of Leeds
Thanks for the comments - I think you're spot on with what you've said. I also see the 'illusion' with the verticals on the tower - it jumped out at me when I first opened the scan. But, like you say, when checked against the grid in photohop the verticals are actually bang on. I did intend to give ...

Re: 20 sheet boxes of Fuji film....
I've just received an update from Robert White to say that my order for a 20 sheet box of Pro 160S has shipped - so it's definitively in the UK now and is probably available from other outlets as well.

Re: 4x5 Processing - Quick Question
OK, thanks. I've emailed Peak the same question and maybe they'll send me out a spare box if they want the sheets separated. Either that or I'll just have to send the B&W in after I get the colour ones back.

4x5 Processing - Quick Question
I've shot my first sheets in a mixture of Ektar and Delta 100 but only have 1 spare box in which to send them to them lab. Will they (peak Imaging) just sort them out at their end using the indentations to work out which is which or do you all ship B&W and colour in separate boxes?
