Hi Mark

The camera logo is indeed an Ebony! However, the version I emailed to Charles was heavily manipulated using a watercolour effect and looked like any other wooden camera!
BTW, what's wrong with stroking your Ebony?

The subject of funding never figured in the original idea for this group because I never envisaged that the group would develop at the speed it has  I have had to consider the matter and my own opinion on the subject is fairly clear - we, as a group need to generate funds as and when workshops ...

ACCESSIBILITY?

Further to a discussion that we had at Somerset, I was wondering what people's views/thoughts/opinions are on "opening" up the group to further "members"? At present we have in the region of 50+ names on the mailing list from interested parties - these names have come about as a result of the advert...

How about THE UK LARGE FORMAT SOCIETY (sponsored by Mr Kipling) - the strap line could be optional :) In my opinion we need to maintain the "UK" in the title - this may be beneficial when it comes to future sponsors etc and it reinforces our identity as a UK-wide group? "Large Format" - obvious! "So...

Who are we?

Further to discussions on Saturday evening at Somerset, it has been decided to think of a suitable name/title for this group. The group has been known as "THE UNITED KINGDOM LARGE FORMAT PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP" but it is felt that we need a title to reflect exactly what we are about. The term "worksho...

The real issue concerning venues for future gatherings is that someone, somewhere will end up travelling a greater distance than others! It is worthwhile compiling a "map" of where we all live as this may lead to opportunities for local get-togethers on an ad hoc basis, however, the locations for th...
