Ebony RSW45 (only LF I have owned) Good points; It looks great Its lighter and quicker than most LF cameras Bad points; Occasionally (just occasionally) I wish it had a few more movement options. It has a short bellows draw but I have found a 270mm lens that works so this is not a big deal. And this...

I'm the same as Charles because I am right handed I can only close my right eye-lid independantly so end up using the left for aiming etc by default. Just bought a new loupe at Focus and will be peering into that with my left eye too.

Chris, I have the Epson 2450 and have experienced the exact same problem. I think it is the limitation of the standard scanning software to interpret the high contrast of slide film, particularly velvia. I have tried scanning with a piece of software called Vuescan and slides that otherwise got crop...

Well, I've got the RSW so much of the movements debate simply isn't an issue for me. While I recognise there are things I am unable to do I also don't feel in the slightest bit restricted. While Joe Cornish is being mentioned I will add a quote from his review of the RSW which is on the Ebony site -...

This looks good - thanks for the info.

As an aside has anyone done any comparisons between Vevia 100 and New Velvia 50? Any preferences?

Focusing Loupes

Does anybody know where I can buy a Horseman 7x focusing loupe? I have looked in the usual places on the interweb but no luck.
Have found B&H do the Wista 5x Loupe. Does anybody use this loupe and what do you think of it?
TIA.
