Hello George and welcome. I'm a fairly new member myself. They all seem a great group but maybe drink too much tea! :D

Co. Clare, one place I really must go.

I would be willing in making a contribution towards the drum scanner. This sounds like a great idea.

That's interesting Joanna,

I usually put in 1200mL, however my Combi Plan is quite old, so I just had another look. Inside the lid it says: -

9 x12cm 1000ccm

10x15cm 1250ccm

I guess when I first got the tank I assumed I'd need somewhere near 1250mL 'to be sure'.

Hello,

I have a 240mm G-Claron which covers 10x8. It is small but very sharp and screws straight into a Copal 1 shutter. I have not had the opportunity to try a 210mm but I'm sure it's worth a go.

Whatever you decide, there may still be an opportunity to publish a small book. Lulu has been mentioned here, the experience of a photographer on another forum seems very positive...

Interesting?

I have printed a few images from the workshop but I don't have access to a scanner at present. I'll post when I can.

Barry, Cleeve Abbey was a nice place to photograph. I had several happy hours there. Must admit I never got around to checking out the tea room though, so cannot vouch for the cakes! David. David, I will leave the Tea Room grading to others with more experience. :D BTW I think your image of Cleeve ...

Just a thought...

Cleeve Abbey seems a great place for a mini-workshop, they also have a Tea Room!

What do you think?

I'm glad you mentioned that Steve. I had forgotten that I had dislodged film when I first started. by not rotating the tank in the same plane as the film.

Hello Dave, I have been using a Combi-Plan tank for quite some time. They need a little practice as Lynne has found. Some people have shown concern that they take some time to fill, which they do. However I have never noticed any uneven development with mine. I am having to move to tray development ...

Hello Lynne,

Nice images. I particularly like the steps, they glow nicely. I tried this image but from a slightly different angle. I have not processed mine yet but I think you chose the better view.

Paul,

Many thanks for organising the workshop and the good weather!

I thought it a great venue for a one day workshop and would certainly return if the opportunity arose.

Nice to meet you all.

Hello JC, I don't have any experience of taking LF gear on flights. However I recently spend nearly a year at Heathrow (T1 and T4) commissioning equipment in the baggage halls. My experiences there suggest that I would ONLY take fragile items like lenses, meters, as hand baggage. Anything else shoul...
