Re: Still dreaming of 5x4
I just found a nice pictoral view of a LF camera and an explanation of the movements. It's on the Toyo website. Went exploring after Charles mentioned Toyo. http://www.toyoview.com/LargeFrmtTech/lgformat.html I don't like their assertion that front tilt gives you more depth of field. It doesn't cha...

Re: Contact printing frame
How about simply laying the paper and neg on top of of something flat like a sheet of MDF and then a piece of glass on top?

Re: LF vs APS-C
I didn't try to correct the colour balance when I took the film shot. I tried to set the white balance on both the film and digital shots in post. What I meant was that using the equivalent amount of exposure on both film and digital, the film one seemed to come out a lot darker and contrastier. Ot...

Re: A final update
Just hope I never have to make a set of bellows again. No fun. Oh, the irony. I haven't shot a great deal of LF in the past couple years, mostly 120 and 135. On the other hand I have been making bellows, and now fairly often for LF customers. A few samples here if you're interested ... http://www.s...

Hi John
Due to hosting restrictions, we do not have the ability to take any more attachments. As Paul says, it has always been preferable to post your images on a service such as Flickr and then link to them from your message.

Re: First LF camera Sinar f2 bought need accesories
It's just an observation but, I get the impression that Sinar owners tend to suffer from GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) What's with all these accessories and stuff? Muz, can I suggest you get yourself a simple lupe (around 6x magnification), then get out there and start making pictures, rathe...

Couldn't you just tilt the rail back and restraighten the standards to achieve more rise?Charles Twist wrote:… His idea is good even though it limits the amount of rise on the front standard rather a lot.

Re: 'Mod 54' film holder for Paterson tank - Any experiences
Using the Jobo loader is an, expensive, option and in the end it's still not that straightforward I've found. I bought one of those and when I got it, I thought "this is definitely not worth that much money...". Also, instead of making things easier, it made them more cumbersome! Though I suppose i...

The CombiPlan is a sealed tank. Perhaps you are confusing with the awful Yankee tank?Neil Baigent wrote:I've looked at the combiplan but had a few reservations. I really want a sealed system, primeraly to cut down on fumes but also to stop wastage of chemicals
