Spare non-LF gear
I may have asked this previously, put it down to age, but is there a site, other than ebay which I can't be bothered with, where I can advertise a lot of oddments of non-LF equipment, e.g Ilford slide duplicator similar to the Leica one, Johnsons plastics 2 1/2" x 3" contact printing frame, multivar...

Re: How do you file your images?
Medium format in A4 view sheets, used these for submissions to photo libraries, filed in numerical order 01-99Atran number, B etc & backed up on cards. Has always worked fine & my wife could remember enough to be able to answer most phone enquiries without ref to cards! Large format in individual en...

Re: WTB: Camera case for using in rucksack
Suggest making a thin (c 3-4 mm) plywood box to fit. Cut ply to desired size; stitch the corners together with monofilament fishing line; coat interior & exterior of corners with thickened epoxy resin, about 10 mm each side of actual edges. Epoxy suppliers also give info on use. Pad interior with fo...

Vat on imported books?
This may be a wrongly charged one-off (I am querying & will post answer), but yesterday I was charged 20% VAT on the total cost of a book imported from the US. In the past 25 years I have imported a lot of books from the US without ever having any charge made. Are we now charging VAT on books from a...

Re: HC-110 vs D-76 developers
Excepting excursions into the more exotic, I've always used D76 1:1 for everything from 35 mm to 10 x 8 & it seems to work OK. D23 is easy to concoct, but very soft. Dennis.

Film photography magazine?
While I appreciate the convenience of digital photography, I don't do much (7MB compact) & wonder if there is a paper magazine which deals with film photography? My main interest these days is LF B & W - B & W Photography mag is increasingly angled toward digital which hardly qualifies really as B &...

Re: Home Processing
Scott, You don't say whether, or not, you have any previous experience of processing? If not you will presumably also need a 120 developing tank as well as a daylight system for 5x4? Darkroom for these, i.e. loading a 120 or 5x4 tank should not be a problem since only a very small space is needed. I...

Re: Contact printing frame
Thanks for all the replies. I am currently using a piece of glass on enlarger baseboard, but also using some ancient Jessop paper which curls, I am finding it difficult to get a reasonable register. On the other hand, while beautiful to behold, & no doubt use, I don't want to spend £330 + VAT for th...

Contact printing frame
Where can 10x8 printing frames be bought? Or can they be made from a converted picture frame? I'd like to find one which allows the whole 10x8 area to be printed.

When you say 'six separate zipped, black pouches', does that mean it actually holds six double film holders? Thanks.

Re: First LF camera Sinar f2 bought need accesories
I may be wrong, but I think if you are moving up from a 5x4 Sinar F to 10x8, you will also need to change the front standard, or the two vertical bits, so the lens will centre on the bigger film plane.
