I'm going to be along the Norfolk coast on Monday (if the weather is acceptable), and depending upon time, I'll try to get to the exhibition.

I arrived late around 1pm Sunday, and now I remember why I usually leave by then, it was hell. It took around 40 minutes to get into the car park. I saw some interesting prints in the area used by local uni's to display students work. I liked 3 photos taken on 4x5 HP5+ on the Nottingham display of t...

John,

I'm very interested. I've spent very little time on Dartmoor, the weather has always been against me other than when I visited Wistmans Wood last August. I've sent you a PM.

I'd certainly be interested in a day outing to Suffolk. Last time I visited the rocks by Southwold Pier were very new, and there was sea defence work still going on.

Paul, a belated welcome, not sure how I missed your post earlier.

I visit Burnham Beeches every now and then as its not far from me, and often at Autumn. On the last visit I noticed the small cafe on the edge of the woods had gone, shame.

May we all have better weather and light in the new year.

Frameco are a few miles away from me, yet I've never called in to see them. My wife did when I was panicking, framing 12 prints for a local exhibition and was short of hanging wire, eyelets and tape. I only just taped up the last frame and got it to the arts centre in time. I first come across them ...

Maybe we can have a mini get together when I'm passing through if theres not a full workshop, there's a one or two others on the Devon/Cornwall border here or on APUGIan Yes, as well as the main gatherings I'd be interested. I usually visit Cornwall 2 or 3 times a year. The same goes for North Wale...

I'd go with any of the 3 locations, but with North Wales and Cornwall my favourites.

Since being given a lot of Kodak Readyloads I bought a used Polaroid 545i, and although more chunky than a Readyload or Quickload holder, it works well with both makes of film. I wasted one sheet by pulling it just to observe if the film was flat, it was. When I first started using LF, I made a mist...

I used to use a 90mm Super Angulon F8, bought a 90mm F6.8 and noticed very little difference in brightness. I suspect you need a much faster lens, bulkier and more expensive, to see a noticeable difference.

My choice of repairer would be the same as Steve's, Black on White in Bristol. They've repaired for me a sticking 00 shutter on a Super Angulon 65mm F8, and a MF Mamiya Sekor TLR 55mm lens that developed a jammed shutter. Reasonably priced and a very good job.
