You're right about the film, i used it because i had it, mistake.
Next time i'll use the 160S as you recommend.

A recent shot taken on Velvia 50 film, 5x4 Horsmeman LS and Nikon 125mm lens. Had to work with available light, hence the burned out window detail.

They normally process once a week.

I'm using this borrowed lens on an Horseman LS 5x4. I shot a couple of sheets of 5x4 Velvia 50 this morning. Got the transparencies processed up the road at The Vault Imaging Lab. The rear lens appears to be very tightly fitted. I assume the rear lens should easily come off, and then i can remove the retaining ring?

Best to consider what you want to photograph first, and base your choice of camera on that. there are a lot of deals on ebay with bodies and lenses, modern and vintage, metal and wood, view and field.... i had no real advice when i started to collect bits and pieces of equipment, so i ended up with ...
