Re: Mobile broadband.
Thanks both. At least it sounds as tho' it works, albeit in the right areas. I shall wait I think for 4g to be more general & see how that fits in my area. I gather the reception is very localised. Dennis.

Mobile broadband.
Only a tenuous connection with photography, so may be out of order. Does anyone have current experience with using the mobile network (3G-4G) to connect a tablet or laptop to broadband? Having had a couple of dispiriting arguments with BT I'd like to be able to ditch them, & all the wired suppliers ...

Re: Zone V1 camera on the auction site
Is this the model built by Wisner? I think the original was a development of a Japanese camera. Dennis.

Re: Process or camera fault?
Update on this little saga. I discovered a chap in Tokyo who apparently can get the Ricoh factory to do repairs, but a rough estimate would have worked out at something around £150 all in - & that was just as an estimate. Ricoh in the UK has not bothered to reply to an email, so I assume is no longe...

Re: Process or camera fault?
George, I don't know much about how electronic cameras function, but with the back open the shutter can be seen to open when shutter button is pressed which suggests that it does work. What I don't know of course is if the film is transporting properly. When loaded the camera rewinds the film out of...

Re: Process or camera fault?
Thanks George. You confirm what I thought. Next problem is what to do about it. I suspect that having an 'electronic' (for want of a bettter term) camera like the Richo GR1 sorted is likely to be more expensive than it is worth. Or does anyone know better; or even have a simple explanation for why i...

Process or camera fault?
Had this discussion some time ago ref whether a developer had expired, or camera (35mm Ricoh) had. Ran another film thro' camera & have done a clip test. End of film black as usual, exposed bit is blank except for edge marking - 'Kodak' etc. To my mind this suggests that the developer - a different ...

Non-large format cameras.
I'd like to sell the following, but is there any interest? PM me if you'd like further info/pics etc. 1/ Leica 3A fitted f2 Summar lens, uncoated version, in E.R.C. All c 1938. Has had one Leica service many years ago when I first bought it from the original owner. Shutter is probably running a bit ...

Re: Seeking Field Camera Suggestions
I can also recommend the Toyo 45A, but it does weigh about 6 1/2 lb, tough as old boots. It works well with 55mm, 90mm & 150mm lenses for me; 55mm has very limited movements & needs a first stage sunken lens board, but does offer an interesting viewpoint. Dennis.

Re: National Portrait Gallery
This portrait was taken on 8x10 with a 240/5.6 Rodenstock lens @ 5.6, focussed on the model's right eye. If it opens? Sorry my effort at adding an image did not work. Dennis.

Re: RIP
Possibly well up the wrong tree, but could the appalling weather have something to do with the lack of enthusiasm? I know that I have done less photography this year than I would normally do, largely because of the very strong winds, cold, & incessant rain. Which it is doing as write! Dennis.

Adox film?
Forget the following - just seen the note on AG site; Croatian factory has closed & production moving to Germany. Combining with Agfa perhaps?
Has Adox film inevitably gone the way of all film in the great scheme of things? Does not seem to be shown on the usual sites. Dennis

Fuji film
Saw a snippet in the paper at the week-end that Fuji is ceasing film production next March. I may have missed something on here, but is it true? Dennis.
