Now what I need is a hands-free lupe so that I can fiddle with my adjustments while still checking the sharpness!
Any/most suggestions welcome!

Note that Tim says "quite" reliably! I've been next to him when things have gone wrong and it's not a pretty sight! I have used Quickload and it's OK, but for me cost is a big issue, so I use sheet fil and darkslides. Yes, they do add to the weight, but I don't carry my LF gear on treks across the c...

Hi Paul I've been on several photo holidays - none specifically LF. One L&L, several Inversnaid and just back from a Wildshots week (Pete Cairns outfit). I'm happy to comment on them for you if it isn't too late - PM me if you still want input. I'd be inclined to rate Inversnaid out in the lead for ...

Hi Jo That sounds really exciting. Unfortunately I am on my travels and won't return home until the first week in November, so haven't got access to my scanned images. You can count in any of my Project images and there is also a selection of my colour LF on the choose-film website http://choose-fil...

Westonbirt Arboretum
Just thought I'd let you know that today I paid a quick visit to Westonbirt (in the pouring rain  ) to check on the autumn colour and there are several specimens that are already well coloured and will be dropping their leaves soon (especially Parrotia, Cercidiphyllum and some of the big maples...

Hi Paul I have the Epson R2400 printer, which it has to be said produces excellent quality prints in both colour and B&W. It has to be said though that the printer eats cartidges which isn't helped by (i) the pitiful capacity of each individual cartridge and (ii) it's irritating habit of headcleanin...

I use Peak all the time - like Steve I save mine up until i've got enough for a decent discount. I use the freepost service but send it recorded delivery - costs about 70p (and causes confusion at the PO - all you pay for is the recorded bit, not the postage) which gives some sort of guarantee of de...

I'd be able to do any of the dates from 20th onwards. I looked at some stuff on the Cotswold Water Park and it now covers a vast area, including some jolly posh holiday homes as well as nature reserves and a bit of a multi-user path which follows a disused railway. Lots of water too! My guess is tha...
