Just to be contrary  there was a suggestion at the last workshop for South Wales (which is still below the M62 when viewed from up north). Coast and country within easy reach, once the initial journey has been made.

I would be interested in attending a workshop in the south and would be able to give a lift to anyone from the North East

I will bring a few issues of OP for reference purposes. A good opportunity of going back through old editions to check if there is anything I have missed

I'm with Steve on this, I prefer the mono version. It has a more gritty feel which suits the subject matter.

Scanning

Many thanks for the info re wet mounting. As I have yet to start scanning LF slides maybe I should learn to crawl before trying to walk and stick with Cibas

Scanning

I have noticed a number of references to "wet mounting" slides and negatives prior to scanning and wondered what is meant by the term. I am sure that it is very simple but seems daunting for a new starter in LF

Film replacement

As we use film bigger than 100 Sqcm could we not use silver rich paper negatives as regularly suggested by the weekly and monthly photographic magazines? Has anyone got any experience of using paper negatives? The main drawback seems to me to be the length of exposures and contact printing small 5x4...

Workshop

Paul

Is it too late to gatecrash the Baths workshop on Saturday? It would be a good opportunity of meeting some other LF users and try a different type of photography to boot.

Can bring a flask if the tea shop is full

Am I the only one who gets asked about my "Old" camera especially with my head under the dark cloth? I really am that shy I use a beginners ebo...
