Re: FS - Heliopan 105mm Linear Polarizer + assorted Lee item
Hi Julian,
I am tempted by the 23A but would sensibly like to buy the 0.9 hard grad please, assuming no scatches etc.
If you want to PM me your details I will pay, either by bank transfer or paypal or however you want ASAP.
Cheers

Hi Julian,
What "assorted Lee filters" do you have? Any yellow/orange for black and white film?
Thanks

Re: First scanned 4x5 image
Hi Martin, Thanks for the reply. I agree it is a real delight seeing the slides on a light table. At the end of the day, though, I want to be able to print and for me that's done digitially. I see what you mean about being cold....quite a blue tone in the shadows. I suppose that is why people tend to...

First scanned 4x5 image
Hello Everyone, My first scanned image - taken in a local wood on a dull December day. I know it's far from a masterpiece..should have given more breathing space and the plane of focus/depth of field isn't quite right such that the top of the head is out of focus, but I'm happy that I'm getting ther...

Re: Exposure or scanning question
Hi Tristan, Thanks for replying. No, I don't have my own scanner....I'm new to all this and not going to invest in a scanner and all that learning until I am convinced that large format is the way for me to go. I really just wanted to see how the negs turned out. I'm happy with my slides. I also fea...

Exposure or scanning question
Hi Folks, The subject could be in two forums, so thought I'd post here. I am new to large format photography. I am using a pentax digital spotmeter to meter and am fairly happy with reading tones and using the meter. I am using both slide and negative films. With slide film I can view on a light-tab...

Re: Developing Labs
And received them back from Peak after only 5 days and that's with using their FREEPOST service (i.e 2nd class)! Amazingly quick...thought it would be weeks. I am even more surprised....exposures seem good (even 16 second one counted in my head with velvia 50), focus is good and I like them! OK, nev...

Thanks for recommending Peak Paul. Reckon I'll send them there. Do you know if Peak are good at returning the film boxes if you ask nicely?

Re: Damp and condensation
Thanks everyone.
I reckon a snorkel is out of the question!!!
I should try to see if I can somehow contort the focusing cloth so that my nose is out of it. Certainly was frustrating.
Cheers

Damp and condensation
Hi Folks, Finally got round to using my new Chamonix 045N-2 at the weekend and took my first large format images. It was a damp (mist, fog then heavy rain) day but not especially cold. I am not a particularly heavy person or heavy breather, but my god I spent so much time wiping condensation off the...

Developing Labs
Hi Folks, I finally got round to taking my first large format photos this weekend! Of course, made some elementary mistakes like leaving the aperture open when removing the dark slide and another time taking teh same image with two different films of different ISO but keeping the same shutter speed....
