Just to be contrary there was a suggestion at the last workshop for South Wales (which is still below the M62 when viewed from up north). Coast and country within easy reach, once the initial journey has been made.

I have noticed a number of references to "wet mounting" slides and negatives prior to scanning and wondered what is meant by the term. I am sure that it is very simple but seems daunting for a new starter in LF

As we use film bigger than 100 Sqcm could we not use silver rich paper negatives as regularly suggested by the weekly and monthly photographic magazines? Has anyone got any experience of using paper negatives? The main drawback seems to me to be the length of exposures and contact printing small 5x4...
