Thanks for the tip Richard!
The biggest problem I've always thought about when shooting when its showery is just what effect the moisture is having on the shutter, surely it must play havoc with the lens moreso than the camera?

No problem George.
The main reason why I wrote the review was because I couldnt find much info about the Titan 4x5 on the net and I think its a camera which people should definatly know about.
Ticks all the boxes for me anyway! :D

Walker Titan 4x5 XL review

At the start of January 09 I decided that I wanted to ‘upgrade’ my current 4x5 wooden field camera and sat down to do some serious research into what options were available from the manufacturers of which I was aware. I had already decided what I wanted and needed out of a camera so straight away th...

Hi Peter, you may be looking at the Walker SF which is a folder. The XL Wide weighs the same as my Shen Hao which is 400g heavier than the Ebonys.

Shen Hao TZ45II-B For - Price (great way to get into LF) Lots of movements Against - Base tilts (drives me mad when you lock it off and it still creeps enough to throw focus off!) Would really like a fresnel in it. All in all its a very good camera to start with but longer I use it the more I see it...

Sad to see any film going but this is the film which costs a little less than £50 inc P+P and is the only Quickload/Readyload B+W film available in the UK, its hardly suprising.
Ilford have also annouced that they are going to increase prices aswell.

Totally agree with Ian. I've used Foma 100 for the last 6 months and found it a very good film but like Ian says you will need to make thorough EI tests. I was developing it in Rodinal rated 80asa with a standard development time of 8 minutes. I've now changed to rotary developing my film so this wo...

Budget accommodation at Glencoe or Rannoch Moor?

Myself and a friend are planning a trip to either Glencoe or Rannoch Moor for 5 days of intensive photography next month. We aim to stay for 5 night but we want to do it on the cheap.
Has anyone here got any suggestions/tips and URL's to help us out?
