The Boat That Guy Built
Did anyone else watch the last episode of this rather amusing series? Guy Martin, a world-class motorcycle racer, took off around the country in an old barge, together with his best friend, Mave. The aim was to celebrate the best bits of the Industrial Revolution, so they visited various heritage si...

Re: FS - 5x4 Film Holders.. Various
Charlie,
I'd be interested in Set 2, the singleton Fidelity Elite. I've got another of these with a damaged dark slide and I could make a complete one out of the pair of them.

Re: spot meters
I bought my Pentax Spotmeter V back in 1983 and it's still going strong. A slight scratch from when I was attacked by some bees from a wild swarm, and a replacement circuit board back in the 1990s. I also have the Digital version, and whilst it's smaller, I still prefer the analogue needle to the di...

WTB: Fidelity Elite darkslide
I have a Fidelity Elite 4 x 5" film holder with a damaged darkslide. Something heavy was dropped on it and has dented and cracked the surface - it's split and I think it would scratch the film, though I could try superglue to seal the split. So I'm hoping that someone may have one they could pass on...

Re: Recommendation for shutter service needed!
You can also try Malcolm Taylor. He's not on the internet, as such, so you'd have to speak to him on 01568 770542. He's a very experienced Leica and Arriflex repairer. I've used him for repairs to Leicas, modern Zeiss lenses for Contax, and Schneider lens services. The only thing he can't deal with ...

This is what you're after, I believe.

The UK distributor is Daymen, so it might be worth dropping them a line via their B+W site.

Be patient as the two books available from the US are rather pricey.

Re: A quick & easy sheet film numbering system
I don't see how, though, it will identify individual sheets (he writes that, often, different filters or different exposures are applied to the same scene, and his method allows them to be distinguished). I must be missing something! Would it not be a case of referring to his notes? Exposure time, ...

There's a copy available on ABE, but you'd probably have to sell some equipment to afford it!

I would have thought they'd have to charge a bit more for postage.
