Unless you've already got the Paterson tank, you might be better off getting yourself a CombiPlan tank.

Re: Heads up to Howtek 4500 owners

Yes Gari, I do know a fair bit about Macs, supporting several customers/friends who have them, not to say the years I spent supporting PC users.

Marc, you need to host the pictures somewhere and link to them. The attachments facility is not available at the present.

Sorry everyone - I can't get the file to attach to the post. I keep getting an error message saying, "Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached". Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Yes, we are no longer able to accept attachments, as they take up limited disk space on our present hosting comp...

Re: Fogging

To the best of my knowledge, whether you get fogging by completely removing the dark slide will depend on the age of your DDS holders and how worn the light trap is. But, if that is what you suspect, then I would suggest you take another shot without completely removing the slide.

Re: Numpti scanning question

… what worries me a little is software issues going forward. Will the drivers still work on Windows if I happen to get a new PC in a year or two etc. This is always a concern when buying older hardware, especially with Windows. There are a couple of considerations that can provide solutions to such...
