Olden Days Photos

Given our collective fascination with... shall we say long established camera technology, I thought you might enjoy this website. http://www.shorpy.com/ It contains high res scans of old photos, from 1860s glass negatives up to 1960s colour and everywhere in between. They have been beautifully scann...

Jobo Bankrupt

I don't know if this was already posted or not. Would explain the recent increase in traffic and prices on Ebay for Jobo equipment.

Perhaps it's a good time to stock up on those extra spares you might need...

Re: Large Format Photography Challenge video

Interesting video, enjoyed that, looks like quite a camera!

Only suggestion is to de-interlace before encoding for computer playback, the interlacing is quite noticeable.

FS: Brand new Jobo 2521 Drum

I have a brand new Jobo 2521 drum for 4x5 processing, never used, thought I would gauge interest on here before it goes on Fleabay. I bought it about 3 weeks ago from Firstcall for £64 before realising I already had two that came with my CPE/2, having never seen one I had no idea till the new one sh...

Re: Jumping on the Jobo E6 bandwagon

I have seen those marks in film I've had processed in small labs before, and on my first sheets of B&W through my jobo. That first batch I ran the motor at speed 1, and there were a few issues with the magnet falling off. Second batch, magnet glued in place, agitation on speed 2, no lines visible, l...

Re: Virtual Linhof Viewfinder for iPhone

What would be nice is the ability to view wider angles, virtually, without having to add a supplimentary lens, to cover up to 47mm on 5x4. Agreed, unfortunately without Apple releasing a decent camera in the iPhone there's no real way to do this. With any luck the iPhone V4 will have a zoomable cam...

Re: B&W Processing Advice for newbie developer

N time for Delta 100 in DD-X 1+4 @ 20°C is 12 mins. Can I recommend that you take a few shots with a SBR of around 7 stops and develop them perfectly normally, apart from reducing the time by 15% for the agitation; this should give you around 10 mins. Then, take some identical shots and develop the...

Re: From the smokes

I don't suppose Trevor's extensive repertoire contains an "N" development time for Delta 100 4x5" in DD-X in a Jobo rotary processor does it?

I wouldn't know, I think he said it was something to do with a time limit on saving preferences, and he wanted to keep within recommendations or something.
