Re: FS: Mamiya 7 Rangefinder Camera

I'm prepared to reserve it for you, until 31/Aug, if you are sure you want it. I can put it back in the camera bag until after my move (and you can be SURE that my camera bags are going to be VERY well cared for during the move); it will come to no harm! Just say the word, and it will have your name...

Re: FS: Mamiya 7 Rangefinder Camera

As an optional accessory for this camera, I can offer the dedicated L bracket from Kirk Enterprises, the BL-7II. Designed to fit snugly around the camera, it allows for quick changes between horizontal and vertical orientation, when using a tripod head which uses the Arca-Swiss style of detachable p...

SOLD: Mamiya 7 Rangefinder Camera and Bracket

Continuing the reduction in kit forced by an imminent house move, I'm offering a chance to buy a Mamiya 7 camera in very good condition. Functionally 100%, internals are clean--body shows signs of use, but nothing untoward. Rangefinder is in sync, both horizontally and vertically, with my 5 lenses, ...

Re: Wilderness cameras!

I read your post the way you intended it. I beg to differ. We appear to have different opinions as to the reasons as to why suppliers charge more here in the UK than elsewhere. Given that you are not a native of these blessed Isles, it may be that you are unaware that this is a perennial complaint ...

Re: Wilderness cameras!

...I'll go and take my pills now... A very appropriate close to your post. I would feel privileged to pay the duty/taxes this thread complains about if living in a civilized country such as yours. It seems very few there understand what life is like in a third-world country like the US, where there...

obtained by buying outside "rip-off" Britain. Ebony 45SU new: Badger Graphics: $4,495, excluding sales tax, equivalent to £2,809 in our money. Robert White: £3,900, excluding VAT. Sadly, this is not an isolated example. I like to support UK manufacturers, and sellers, but when the difference in pri...

Re: Wilderness cameras!

In my experience, the tax and duty are always levied, except when the value of the parcel (incl. postage) is under £18. This amount is the threshold above which duty and VAT become due. The real annoyance is the fee levied by the firms importing the goods--ranging from £8 to over £15. I try, therefo...

Re: Wilderness cameras!

There is a thread on another LF site, which covers this very camera: http://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum/showthread.php?t=71835 Works out about 25% cheaper than the Walker 8x10, and has considerably more bellows extension -- useful if you like 600mm focal length on 8x10. I'm tempted myself,...

Re: Hello from Aberdeenshire

Lucy, Welcome to the forum. This is definitely the place to ask questions--that's how I learned how to do large format. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Ask your questions when you need answers; there's no threshold of knowledge you need to have before seeking advice. We do get together now an...

Re: WTB - 75mm Rodenstock or Nikon

I have a mint Nikkor 75mm, boxed. I don't use it now, since I bought a 72XL, so I guess I should sell it. I can get some photos together if you are interested. I'd be looking for £425 for the lens. PM me if you think this is worth pursuing.

Regards,

David.

Re: FS Fujinon 400mm f8.0 T

Due to a change in format plans, I decided to remove this lens from sale, and took it off eBay. However, the change in format did not transpire, and so regretfully, I have to accept I don't need to hold onto this lens.

I've reduced the price to £425 + insured P&P.

SOLD Ebony 45SU Bag Bellows

I have put my Ebony 45SU camera up for sale (now on eBay), so it is time to sell my set of bag bellows for this camera. I purchased these from a fellow board member a couple of years ago. They are not mint, but in very good condition or better. As you can see, they come with the original box. These ...
