Re: Vat on imported books?

As far as I know there is no vat on books. If you look on the Customs and revenue website you should be able to claim a refund. I suspect this is part of a plot to justify the post office charging a fee to interact with customs and pay the fee usually £5 / £8. http://search.hmrc.gov.uk I used to hav...

Re: Liquid capacity for Jobo 2 spiral tank

I don't have a double spiral tank but if it can be assumed the double tank is twice the height of the single tank then surely the amount of chemistry required will be double i.e. 270ml x 2 = 540 ml.

Re: WTB: Cokin X499(CW499) universal lens adapter

Sorry, I didn't know they both carried the same part number. Maybe you could see if SRB (http://www.srb-griturn.com/) have one. They don't list them on site anymore, maybe they could make you one, although you might have tears in your eyes when you find out the cost...

Re: 5x4 enlarger in a nova tent?

maybe consider something like this on the auction site item 320726476428
I think if you have some reasonable hand skills you could make one using plastic piping and a steel bench.

Hope this is useful

Re: Drying Kodak negatives

I use Helping Hands - like these on eBay here: http://tinyurl.com/4e5rmc4 (no recommendation on supplier But they are the cheapest I found!) If you put them on a shelf and hang the film diagonally down and put some news paper underneath to catch drips - it works for 5x4 to 10x8. You can also remove ...
